Description of the project

The project involves the widening to three lanes of the section of motorway between km 88+600 (the Monselice junction) and km 100+850 (the A13 interchange with the motorway link to the A4), involving a total of approximately 12.25 km of road.

The project also includes:

  • the upgrade of the acceleration and deceleration lanes at existing junctions (Monselice, Terme Euganee, A4/A13 interchange) and of the San Pelagio service area;
  • the demolition and refurbishment of 12 overpasses.

Following submission of the draft design to local authorities, at the time of the EIA procedure, which came to a positive conclusion in 2018, the project was declared compliant with urban planning regulations on 30 March 2022. This followed the positive outcome of the Services Conference, establishment of the expropriation constraint and agreement between central government and Veneto Regional Authority.

Having completed the procedures involved in publication of the list of expropriations, the detailed design was submitted to the Ministry for the Grantor’s consent and the accompanying declaration of public interest.
