To facilitate communication with the public, Autostrade per l’Italia has created an innovative system for showing a 3D representation of the results of the noise mapping made across its network, as well as the future situation following the implementation of the Action Plan. By using the selection templates given below it will be possible to see and “navigate” the relevant areas in a virtual world.

Particular colours have also been used in these 3D graphics to show the conditions of exposure to road noise, both as things stand today and in the future: a mapping solution has also been devised that highlights the benefits of the noise mitigation works foreseen in the Action Plan.
