Noise Mapping
According to the definitions given in Legislative Decree No. 194 of 19 August 2005, noise mapping is “the representation of data relating to an existing or prospective noise situation in a zone related to a given source”.
The noise maps are reviewed every 5 years and, if necessary,reworked/updated.
Autostrade per l’Italia has worked out - and submitted to the competent bodies - the noise maps concerning all of its assigned network to allow for a national Strategic Noise Map, drawn up to determine overall exposure to noise caused by the overlapping of various sources.
