Critical Areas

Within the area relating to the motorway infrastructures, all receptors and main sources of noise (motorway and associated sources) have been surveyed and identified. All the buildings have been identified in correspondence with which the noise levels induced by vehicle traffic are estimated as being higher than the limit values set by current national legislations.

The study has been conducted following a method aimed at objectively assessing the noise impact caused by a motorway: this procedure, described in the Annexes of DEnv. Min. Decree of 29/11/2000, has been experimented and validated within the scope of the Genova Pilot Project, which was developed between 2000 and 2007 by Autostrade per l’Italia in cooperation with the Genova City Council and Prefecture, the Liguria Regional Administration and the DSA division of the Ministry for the Environment, Land and Sea.
