The projects by Autostrade per l'Italia provide for adopting a series of measurements aiming to minimise possible effects on the roads while safeguarding the safety of travellers and works personnel.
Autostrade per l'Italia, also through the definition of a specific Protocol for works management shared with "Intesa Consumatori" (consumers agreement), has taken on the following commitments:
the works that involve the widening of the current motorway lane area are made without reducing the number of lanes open to customers
in cases where traffic has to be excluded from the emergency lane, provision is made for building safety lay-bys into which vehicles can temporarily pull over
the works that require tighter restrictions or the stopping of use (overpass demolitions etc.) are undertaken on the days and in time bands of lighter traffic and by also exploiting extra means and resources
the notification of the extraordinary closures, together to indications of the alternative routes (shared and notified in advance to the affected municipal councils), is done in advance through the press, internet and other media so as to minimise inconvenience for customers travelling and the residents in the affected municipalities.
